About Mercer Family Roots Upper Island Cove
Welcome to the Upper Island Cove Ancestry website. My name is Randell Mercer and my
family roots are primarily associated with the community of Upper Island Cove,
located in the Conception Bay North area of the Province of Newfoundland and
Labrador, Canada. In the process of researching my family ancestry, I have also
compiled a considerable amount of information on many other family names that resided
at Upper Island Cove, dating from its origin in the 1700s up to the 1950s and even
beyond. These include such surnames as Adams, Bishop, Clarke, Crane, Coombs, Drover,
Greeley, Lynch, Lundrigan, Newman, Sharpe and Young, as well as others. I am willing
to share any of this information with others.
Currently, I have presented on this website information specific to my own ancestry,
beginning with my parents, Graham Mercer and Dorcas Bishop. This is a work in
progress. However, I have set up separate websites, specific to other family names at
Upper Island Cove, including Crane Roots, Bishop Roots, Reid Roots, Osborne Roots and
many others. Check out some of these sites under USEFUL LINKS in the right column.
You can contact me directly for additional information.
With regards to any of these websites, I would appreciate any information you may have
that will add to, verify or correct any details presented.
